This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how Permission Labs Inc. ("Permission Labs", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the MagicBeanz mobile application (the "App") and any related services (collectively, the "Services"). MagicBeanz is a self-custody blockchain wallet service. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. This Policy also outlines your rights and choices regarding your information under various privacy laws.

High-Level Summary

• Service Operator and Global Data Protection: MagicBeanz is provided by Permission Labs Inc., a company operating from South Korea. To ensure a high standard of data protection for our global users, including those in the United States, our privacy practices are designed to adhere to U.S. privacy laws and regulations.
• Limited Personal Information for Optional Features: For our core self-custody wallet functionality, we do not require your personal identifying information (such as name or address) or account sign-ups. However, to use certain optional features, such as purchasing cryptocurrency with Apple Pay through our integration with Coinbase, we are required to collect your phone number and email address. This information is collected only when you choose to use this feature.
• Data We Do Collect: Beyond the information for optional features, we gather limited data to improve your experience. This includes public blockchain information (like your wallet address) and aggregated, anonymized usage data (such as app performance metrics).
• No Selling or Sharing for Marketing: We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for their own advertising or marketing purposes. Data like your email and phone number is shared only with our payment processing partner (Coinbase) to facilitate the transaction you requested. Other data is shared only with trusted service providers (e.g., for analytics) who help us run the App.
• Third-Party Analytics Tools: MagicBeanz uses third-party analytics and performance monitoring (for example, Google Analytics and Sentry) to collect app usage statistics and diagnose issues. These providers may employ their own tracking technologies to gather information on our behalf.
• User Privacy Rights: We respect your privacy rights under laws like the GDPR and CCPA. If you have provided us with personal data (such as an email and phone number for a transaction), you have the right to request access to or deletion of that information. We will honor applicable rights and help you exercise them.
• Ongoing Privacy Commitment: Privacy is central to our values. We continuously seek to minimize data collection. Any significant changes to how we handle data will be reflected in an updated Policy, and we will notify users as required.

Data We Collect

Privacy is core to MagicBeanz. For our core functionality, we intentionally avoid collecting personal data that can directly identify you. However, certain optional features require the collection of specific information. When you use our App, we limit data collection to the following:

• Information for Optional Features (e.g., Cryptocurrency Purchases): To use certain features, such as purchasing cryptocurrency with Apple Pay, you will be required to provide personal information. This is necessary to comply with the requirements of our payment processing partner, Coinbase. The information collected for this purpose includes:

  • Your Phone Number
  • Your Email Address

  This data is collected only when you initiate a purchase and is securely transmitted to our partner to process the transaction. Your use of this feature is subject to Coinbase's Privacy Policy, which we encourage you to review.

• Public Blockchain Information: Because MagicBeanz is a blockchain wallet, it necessarily interacts with public blockchain networks. When you use the App, we may log your public blockchain wallet address and details of your blockchain transactions. This information is already public on the blockchain and is not linked by us to your real identity. We use this data to understand how our Services are used (for example, counting the number of unique wallet addresses interacting with MagicBeanz) and to ensure the security and integrity of transactions. Note: Blockchain addresses are strings of characters not issued by us and, by themselves, do not reveal your personal identity.

• App Usage Data: We collect anonymized usage information through third-party analytics tools. This may include data such as your device type (e.g., phone model, operating system version), App version, and logs of how you use MagicBeanz (for instance, features you tap on, timestamps of actions, or error/crash reports). This data helps us troubleshoot issues, monitor app performance, and improve features. It does not include personal details and is generally analyzed in aggregate form.

• Diagnostic and Performance Data: Our error monitoring service (e.g., Sentry) gathers information when the App encounters an error or crash. This can include technical information like error codes, device state at the time of the crash, and a general location (e.g., country or region derived from IP) of the event. We use this solely to fix bugs and improve stability. We do not use crash reports to try to identify individual users.

• Communications: If you contact us for support or feedback (for example, via email or a support form), we will collect the information you choose to give us (such as your email address and the content of your message). We will use this information to respond to you and resolve your issue or to improve the App based on feedback.

Other than the limited scenarios above, MagicBeanz does not collect any information about you. In particular, we do not collect any of the following from your use of the App:
